The Party's Over

We had a traumatic afternoon.  Mom and Dad drugged us!  And when we couldn't stand up by ourselves, they caught us and trimmed our nails.  Jake hates having his nails trimmed!!

He doesn't care for being woozy either . . . or having Barney sit on him!  You know this only happens when he's flat on his beak - er, muzzle!

Mom says it was traumatic for her, too.  She's the one who has to hold a loopy pug and corral all the extra legs while Dad trims.  Pugs "honk" when they are upset and turn up their shed rate by at least triple.  Imagine an emphysema ward snowing hair! 

Ah.  Interest in a toy is a good sign.  Wonder if there will be headaches in the morning?

A Mighty Battle

Mom was at her work table when a terrible noise arose from beyond the bookshelf.  It was really very scary!  First she saw this:

A moment later, she saw this:

Whatever can it be?

Finally, quiet returns.

Mom ventures closer.

Oh No!  They got Santa!!!

Nesting . . .

Why, yes!  That is a pile of trash bags!  Thank you for noticing.

Mom doesn't think it looks very cozy, but we like it just fine!

In a room full of pug toys, what is my favorite play thing?

Mom's foot, of course!

They're Back!

Mom and Dad went away . . . and LEFT US!  I just cannot believe they would do such a thing!!

Jake was really happy to come home.  He doesn't like staying in a kennel.  They keep dogs there, you know!

I was really happy to see our house, too!

The kennel didn't have as much water as we get at home.  Mom says she doesn't believe that, but it's true!

We don't get a nice cozy bed to sleep in . . .

and I really missed my morning massage!

Please don't leave us again, Mom!

A Strange Visitor

We found a stranger in our backyard last weekend.

Dad was paying more attention to the visitor than to me!

It sure needs a long leash.  It must run really fast!

It is also really, really noisy!

Jake is keeping his distance!

Look out!  It spits!  Mom said it's name is Pressure Washer.
